The Abingdon Virginia newspaper you spoke of in you post is on microfilm and is located
at the library of Emory & Henry College in Washington County, Virginia. They also have
the original newspapers covering several years during the Civil War.You can view the microfilm
at the library and I'm not sure if they have ever be placed online.Emory & Henry is in Emory,Va.
just a few miles east of Abingdon,Va. and a few miles west of Glade Spring,Va.Hope you can
get to see them some time.
