Thanks for the recap -- but...you didn't second my motion! (Looking back through my Carlo file this morning, I found that I had originally raised the probability of Cummins' error as to Patti's regiment nine years ago.) While I want to discontinue the 154th association thread, I do want to send you (and Art) further info on Patti, so I'll use his name to start and work in Clagett. I'm having great fun rearranging several inches of correspondence, downloads, and scraps of notes, for much of my "Patti file" info is from contemporary newspapers, diaries (pub and unpub), mentions by others or in the CSRs of others, correspondence exchanges with other researchers and genealogists, etc.
