Morgan Brothers

Colonel or Major Morgan was provost marshal at Union City, Tennessee.
On September 4, 1861, he was shot dead by Charley Little, a Paducah
man whom Morgan had accused of being a spy.

Colonel or Major Morgan's brother, General Morgan, hearing of the
murder, traveled from his station in Memphis, confronted Little and
shot him dead on the spot.

I don't know for sure if the Morgans were from Tennessee, but since
they were both serving in the state, I suppose it's a pretty good bet.

Since I don't know the Morgan brothers' first names or units, I
haven't been able to identify them.

Can anybody identify them from the apparently correct history or
suggest how I can do that?
