I find nothing consistent with John Hunt Morgan having had a brother who was a provost marshal killed in Union City, Tennessee, on September 4, 1861, with JHM having been in Memphis as a general at that time, nor with his having gone to Union City from Memphis or anywhere else to avenge his brother’s murder. I think the Morgan brothers I'm looking for must be from a different Morgan family.
