Do you have any Kirk family genealogy? My father's mother was a Kirk from the Gallatin area, but I have no further info on that branch of the family yet. I have been researching partisan CW units as my father 2xgreat grandfather was a Confederate partisan in WV. It would be interesting to find out if I am related to a Unionist partisan through my grandmother's branch. Currently reading "Mountain Partisans", the first book not related strictly to WV CW history that I have read. I had no idea had widespread the partisan war was.
