Re: Lilley's Unattached Calvary

Craig,

I have tried several (I mean lots) of websites. I don't remember if I have tried the one you mentioned or not. Will you please send me the address so I can check it out? Now, I have found just a small refernce of the unit in Ruth Peebles book "There Were Never Such Men," but even that is just a short paragraph. My problem is that she used the TA and NA as refernces for the unit history, but niether one can find the unit history there. I don't know.. I have tried Hill College, but no response from them. I know if Ruth Peebles found information, it must be somewhere. Benjamin Franklin Lilley is my great great grandfather. This was his second unit, the first wsa Hughe's Light Artillery was he was reprtes to be a deserter. That is why I am so deternimed to find his unit. I want to prove he was not a CSA deserter.

Thanks for your help,
Christy
