There are no men listed in the National Archives Index with names similar to the name you seek, BUT Companies "F" and "I" were made from men from Cherokee County Texas. Unfortunately there are no muster rolls of Likens' 35th at the Texas nor National Archives. Company"I", however, was previously Mullin's Company of Terrell's Regt Texas Cav. so you could check for him there.

I think a booklet was published several years ago concerning CSA records from Cherokee County, so this might be an even better place to look. You might also try the Texas CSA pension index.

I have been researching Likens' Regt since 1986 and published a transcription of the National Archives Index in Heart of Texas Records (Central texas Genealogical Society) Fall 1994. Records are scarce, so if you find anything, please contact me.

Have you tried Hill College's research center?
