Thanks so very much. I'm not sure I understand this list being made by the veterans themselves. You obviously know much more than I about these things. How does it happen that I have not been able to find his name on any other record and how did the veterans come to make a list themselves? There are lots of family stories about Joe, so obviously he was in the war but I can't seem to find any other record. The National Archives cannot find a service record nor did he receive a pension. I do appreciate your help.
