Please tell us how we can find more information on this Capt. W.J. Hays's Company and his Texas Volunteers. In which regiment were his men? I could not find it via Google or in the OFFICIAL RECORD.

Any Bowie County company or militia listing interest me.

I am at a disadvantage since I have have been so busy transcribing original records that I have not had time to learn to use the Internet properly, but I have transcribed 225 Texas militia listings from seven militia brigades plus their correspondence.
