Texas Monuments

I recently came across a web site on the new battlefield site at Raymond, MS. and the new Texas monument placed on the battlefield. It is the same design as eleven previously placed monuments all dedicated in the early 1960's at Antietam, Gettysburg, Fort Donelson, Shiloh, Bentonville, Chickamauga, Kennesaw Mountain, Pea Ridge, Anthony, TX., Mansfield, LA., and Wilderness. There is also a larger monument at Vicksburg of a different design. There are several smaller monuments at various sites such as Honey Springs, OK., Valverde, NM, Glorietta Pass, NM etc.

I was unaware that new monuments of the same design as the 11 from the 60's were planned or had been placed. I have tried to plan various trips to visit each of the monuments on the list. I have seen the monument at Vicksburg (as well as the smaller ones I listed above) along with the ones at Gettysburg, Shiloh, Antietam, Donelson, Pea Ridge, Chickamauga and Mansfield. I now have another one to add to my list at Raymond (another excuse to do the MS campaign I guess.

With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone knows a good website that lists Texas monuments for the Civil War, their locations, pictures etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
