Re: Waul's Texas Legion Colonel E.B. Nichols

Beverly,
John Dubose and Jane Nichols are my grandmother's, Beatrice Dubose, grandparents.

John was born in 1824 in Georgia, went to Texas in 1849, married Jane Nichols in 1856 and is buried in Indian Bayou, Vermillion parish, Louisiana. I believe he's buried in the Methodist Church cemetary.

This information can be found South Carolina Huguenot Society. The family came to the Province of Carolina in 1685.

Hope this helps.
