Re: 9th Tx Calvary, Co D, Morgans Regt, Co E

Thank You Mike, I have an exert from Tainted Breeze,on he and Joseph:
He allegedly resigned as lieutenant colonel of a Tarrant County regiment of volunteers in Oct, 1861, then organized a company for the 14th Texas Cavalry. Offical records indicate that he enrolled as private in the 9th Texas Cavalry in Oct, 1861, was mustered out for a disability, then joined a "Spy Company," from which he was again discharged for a disability in Aug 1862.
Another exert from the book: had contacted Newton J. Chance, the would-be Confederate who had betrayed Samuel McNutt to Bourland earlier in the year, I am not sure what this incident is, if anybody has any information on it, also find out that Joseph C his brother was in Roff's co, what co would that be and information on it.
Thanks again Mike
