Everything is very interesting. My Guthrie clan that was in White County moved north into the
western section of Arkansas. When you say Bentonville, you are in the northwest section.
But Bentonville was not there back in Civil War times, that area had another big town for the day.
I have a friend who was a Guthrie and she will be quite interested in all of this.
I have no idea about this who is who, but you have done some wonderful research and found such
interesting information. Having tried to research the Guthrie clan in the past, it leads me to believe
that these folks are all related somehow.
Was there any sort of physical description of these men? What color were their eyes?
I believe that my connections that had come out of South Carolina probably were slightly smaller
built people with blue eyes. Sort of wiry like. But I may be wrong.
