Re: 1st Reg. Texas Calvary CSA Company F and Compa

Good morning Patricia

My Gray's lived in rural Denton County, TX. Their children were all small when they moved from Rusk Texas or Rusk County to Denton County. Sam H. Gray had two sons and two daughters at least. His wife was Aurelia P. Guthrie. The youngest son was Sam Houston Gray, Jr. and my great grandmother was Virginia Josephine Gray. She married James Trimble Cozby and they lived in Round Grove in Denton County. These were the parents of my grandfather, Franklin Jackson Cozby Sr.

The Cozby's also come from Round Grove, Flower Mound area of Denton County. James Trimble Cozby came to Texas from Rhea County, Tennessee. Originally the Cozby's were from County Meath, Ireland. They came to America before the Revolutionary war. James Trimble Cozby and his wife, Virginia Josephine Gray Cozby are all buried in family plot at Flower Mound Presbyterian Church in what I think is now Flower Mound TX. These towns have grown so much hard to tell where Lewisville stops and Flower Mound takes over. But the church and cemetery is still in Flower Mound.

Have a good day.
