Capt. Henry T. Davis, Co F, Duff's 33d

Henry T. Davis question solved, thanks to George Martin and James E. Williams. ..James sent a strong hint that this "Captain Henry T. Davis" was from Hays County TX. ... I had suspected that since Henry T. Davis lived a few doors from H.W. Davis who seemed to be his dad (by age and birthplace) plus THE Edward Burleson lived two doors away.

The old Texas Almanac states that Captain H.T. Davis of Company F, Frontier Regiment was from Hays County, Texas. I don't have the title page of the almanac but the information about the Frontier Regiment is on page 500. It was apparently written in 1862 because it shows James M. Norris as the Colonel.
.
Company F, Frontier Regiment later became Company F, 33rd Texas Cavalry. Henry T. Davis is shown as the Captain, but his parole appears to have Lt. Colonel or Lt. instead of Captain. I don't have a copy of the parole but it would probably give his residence.

Therefore, maybe a CSA marker can be placed on the "Henry T. Davis" grave in Orange TX.
