Re: Studies of underage soldiers

Vicki,
I have been researching Anderson/Border's Regt. for a couple of years and have not found anything about which school(s)
Fulcrod's cadets attended. I know that Bastrop Military Acadmey closed during the war (not sure when) and was not reopened until 1867.

Most members of Fulcrod's battilion where from Goliad, Washington, Lavaca, Guadlupe and Gonzales counties, maybe a school in that area?
Gen. Magruder's idea when he authorized Fulcrod to form the battilion was to use the cadets as couriers, guards, etc. to releive older soldiers for coastal duty.
