deserters from texas CSA in 1863

Question was about the "deserters from texas CSA in 1863."
.
Two responses:
.
1) 1863. The Confederate Brush Battn, that is mentioned many times on this message board. ..Search for "Oxford Lake" which addresses about 500 men that I have spent scores, if not hundreds, of hours studying. ..And yes, my great friend, Mike W. Thompson, also studies Oxford Lake.
.
2) after Mar 1864 when CSA records about the North and West Frontier commenced. ...Editor's note: To address this question, I have worked for years developing my web page

http://www.bourlandcivilwar.com/1864-65FrontierMilitaryUnits.htm
.
that sort of describes the military units that collected prisoners that Bourland's Regt was charged with transferring to the Bonham TX jail, a temporary holding cell for prisoners who were eventually transferred to Camp Ford. ...(Here's hoping you were wondering where thsese prisoners were captured.)

Quoting: deserters from texas Csa in 1863 .... I am wondering what happened to the major number of desertrrs in texas were they just forgotten about or were they pardoned after the war. ..Would really like to know. ...Henry.
