I just heard back from the National Archives about my request for a copy of two personnel rolls from J. C. Kirby's QM operation at Tyler. Unfortunately they are too fragile for any copy of any kind, so unless I can make it back to the National Archives I'm out of luck. However, since my request went in a week or two before I sent in the Bourland request for you, that gives you some idea of how the timing is working out. I hope to hear something about that before the end of the month, and I hope you get better news than I did.
