I wish that I could write that I have many additional facts to share with you about your ancestor, Jacob Wingerter, but unfortunately I do not. The only piece of additional information that I have is that he was listed as having no taxable property in the Texas tax rolls. I had no idea that he immigrated to Brazil after the war--that is quite fascinating! I would be interested in learning more about his reasons for immigrating if you have that type of information.
