You're supposed to have a military service document or equivalent (pension application), but mistakes are made. We frequently tell people that the military unit inscribed on the tombstone evidently doesn't belong to the man buried beneath it.

Letters sure sounds as if we have a Confederate military unit. Do they mention an officer or other members or how the wife may address her letters?
