6th TX Mounted Vol. Comp. A Gould's Bat.

Great-Great Grandfather Stephen McKim enlisted in 1862 & fought with the brave soldiers in Gould's 6th TX Cavalry, Company A. He received a medical furlough in January 1863, in Arkansas. I know he died at sometime between this date and 1865, but don't know when, where, or the cause. A cryptic typed note on Fold 3 has his name misspelled as "McKeim," and indicates, "Washington, Arkansas, February 5, 1863 - see Manuscript 6198." I was unable to access this and know nothing further. Any information will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you!
