Yes, there is a later Jan/Feb, 1864 muster roll where they were then stationed near Marksvil, La. Had he returned by then, there would have been a record of his presence. Inasmuch as he did not appear, we again realize that he had been previously dropped from the rolls, that would have been based on the intelligence that he had: died, deserted, transferred, discharged, etc., and so noted on the missing muster roll.
