Re: 11th Texas Infantry ( Robert's Regiment)

Mr. Bozic,

My ancestor's name was Clinton Benfield. He was born 1838 in Burke County, NC, and enlisted in what would become Roberts regiment on Feb. 5, 1862 in Rusk, Texas.

According to an image I found from 3fold.com( image located at http://www.fold3.com/image/12912191/), an index card dated June 30 states he died on June 17, 1862. No cause of death or location was given, and thus is why I posted on this board. It says that at that time he was part of the Texas 11th regiment infantry, Capt. G. W. Engledow's company.

If you could look through your notes, and see if you might be able to locate a name listed or grave for him, that would really be great. Thanks,

MIKE
