Thanks, Alan. This just where my conclusions are leading me. I searched for anything that I couuld get my hands on in microfilm at NARA, then when I needed to move on to unfiled papers on the table I ran out of time. I did get to some on microfilm that were unfiled, but I had about 8 rolls left to go based on months of the years that he was held. I have called Fort Worth branch but they don't have the film-of course! What I did see and learn from in those papers taught me that anybody could get arrested for just about anything! I don't think MO was the place to try to exist at that time! Chaos! I found NOTHING from Polk Co.,MO, at NARA in the unfiled pages--maybe never turned in!
