Re: Jonathan Golladay, Capt, Died Nov 30, 1862

Thank you for your prompt reply, and the information you have provided regarding my collateral ancestors.
Based upon previous genealogical research, I can substantiate that George Golladay and Washington Swope Golladay are my Great-great-great-Uncles.
I did not know that I could join the Sons of the Confederate Veterans (SCV) as a collateral descendant of the above CSA Veterans. I do now, and plan to.
Before I sent my email out, I only knew of the Military Order of the Stars and Bars, and which required your ancestor to be an Officer in the CSA. That was the reason for my original email questionnaire.
I did find a local CSA military unit near my Grandfather's McKinley, VA residence. That being:
Capt. A. L. Turk's Co., VA LDT, Middlebrook Home Guard
Middlebrook is the nearest large community to McKinley, and Home Guard would indicate a local militia.
Again, thank you for your prompt reply.
