Since I haven’t verified the correctness of the information for these men as shown in the booklet List of Confederate Soldiers Interred in Soldiers’ Lots, Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia, I don’t want to submit their data to findagrave.com. I believe it would be a disservice to these soldiers to post inaccurate information about them on the internet. There are many erroneous markers in Laurel Grove North as a result of the information on them being identical to what appears in this booklet. I’m glad it exists and I appreciate all of the work put into it by the original author in 1874, but as I indicated in my original posting, I have found it not to be 100% accurate regarding name spellings, ranks and regiments (companies and branches of service, too) for other men buried there. Apparently whoever ordered and placed the incorrect markers didn’t bother doing any (or adequate) research to verify the information for all of the Confederate soldiers whose graves are located in this cemetery.
