George, thank you once again for helping me learn more about my Great Great Grandfather. I ordered the book "25th Virginia and 9th Battalion Virginia", by Richard L. Armstrong through interlibrary loan and received it today. I cannot find any mention of James K.P. Osborne or the 25th cavalry in it. Did the 25th infantry and 9th battalion have anything to do with the 25th cavalry?
