In Response To: Harrison's Landing ()

I don't know it you can help me, but I.ve just found out my great great grandfather, PVT. Hugh D. Lynch, Taunton, Ma. died at Harrison Landing, July 25, l862. It says he was buried there. From you postings I can see that would be the Berkeley Plantaion. I have tried in vain at Nat'l cemteries to find him. Would there have been a cemetery on that property that they would have buried Union soldiers? Thank you so much in advance. I am going to the area next year for the Gettysburg reeactment and am going on to Virgina. Regards, Barbara
