Thanks for that information. None of the lists that I have of Confederate built/used ironclads shows the "Danube"...so that could be a good candidate for one of the unidentified Tombigbee or Mobile built ironclads. It might also be the unidentified ironclad reported as started at Pensacola. I don't know much about this Pensacola mystery ironclad. It may have never been actually constructed.

Anyone else have anything further on the "Danube"?
