Unable to locate a muster roll of 8th (Hatch's) Alabama Cavalry online. Does anyone have a list of the soldiers from this unit?

My records show the following:
1) MARTIN, C. C., Co. D, 8 (Hatch’s) Ala. Cav., Drum/______

2) Christopher Columbus “Bud” MARTIN applied for a pension in Wood Co., TX in 1924 at which time he indicated he was 75 years old and born in Greensboro, Alabama. HE INDICATED he served in Co. "E", 8th Ala. Regt. under Capt. G. P. PRICE. However, T. J. POWERS and J. P. PARK of Tuscaloosa Co.,Alabama said he resided at Greensboro, Alabama and enlisted in 1863, at Demopolis, Ala. in Perrin’s Co. “D”, Hatches [sic] Battalion.

I do not show a likely soldier having served in Co. "E", 8th Ala. Regt., but my records do agree with POWERS' and PARK's testimony. Here is another example of another soldier saying he served in one company, but records indicate a different company.

3) I find in 1850 in Greene Co., Alabama, Christopher C. MARTIN, age 10/12. Age given in the pension and age given in the census seem consistent, so it appears C. C. MARTIN was ca. 14 yrs. old when he joined as a drummer.

Based on the discussions I've read on this board regarding the company formations, name changes, letter changes, regiment changes or consolidations, widows giving wrong data on pensions, soldiers given wrong data on pensions, and soldiers being separated from their units and not being able to reunite, I'm amazed any of them knew what unit it was they served in or were trying to reunite with!

Also, I am amazed and thankful that some of you can keep up with the confusion. Do wonder how anybody in authority back then knew how many units existed and what the names/numbers were.
