Which of these companies was the company added to what was originally the 9th [Hatch's] Home Guard Cavalry Battalion to form the regiment? Was it a previously existing company?
I haven't investigated this regiment, yet, but it would be expected to have a whole lot of Pickens County men [boys?] as seven of these nine companies were formed in counties which border Pickens.
Was this G.G. Perrin of Greene County a relative of Col. Robert O. Perrin? Or, of Dr. Robert O. Perrin of Tuscaloosa County? I believe that you and I have discussed these two Robert O.'s in the past.
