Re: Confederate Monument at your Courthouse?

There is a Confederate monument on the courthouse square at Livingston, Sumter County, Alabama. This monument was unveiled in 1905 and placed there by the U.D.C. The names of the soldiers that went to war from the county and the ones that later settled there were recorded on the monument. Several names were unintentionally omitted as one would imagine. It features a Confederate infantryman facing South.

There is also a Confederate monument at Ft. Payne, Alabama. If memory serves me correctly, I believe that it is near the old railroad depot in a park. I have no information about it.
