The 1866 Alabama State Census has been microfilmed in negitive, however, and I am sure is availible in Birmingham and at ADAH. There is a set at the Local History and Genealogical section of the Mobile Public Library. I have not examined the state tabulations from this census, which I assume are at the end of the last roll. It is really tough to read, sometimes illegible. I felt privildged that I could read the portion of the Greene County census for the Pleasant Ridge area. There is no separation of precincts or voting districts within a county, and I just had to go on familiarity with surnames of the area.

Perhaps this weekend I can look at the microfilm at Mobile and verify these numbers.
