Thank you for the information--very interesting. Is there a way I can access this information that you have? The only info I have is the little I told you about that was on Footnote and I have never found anything about him on Ancestry, or any civil war sites.

So, are you saying he was a "rebel prisoner of war" because he was a deserter and that's why he was paroled?
