Re: B J. Graves soldier or Pension Fraud?

Allan thanks for the reply, Yes I believe an enlistment before '63, because of his age is doubtful, born in 1846.
But, still don't see him with the 10th or 5thCav. or any unit?
His older brother Thomas B. my have been killed or died while serving with the 1st Al Cav., there was a Thomas in the first who passed unsure if it is his brother?
B.J is adamant about his service in the 1st, when he is asked on 1915 Application he even explains his surrender. He claims they were ordered to Danville, Morgan Co to surrender to Union forces, This would be correct for Roddy's 4th but not the 1st? Also the Blount Co Boy's in the 1st Cav ended up in the 12th. My G.G Granpa and Uncles joined the 12th Bttn Partisan Rangers, in July 1862 then in the Fall, they were incorporated into the !st Cav untill the Fall of '64, when the 12th Al Cav was formed, and at the end of War were in the Carolina's?
I think he, got info from real vet's and concocted a service record?
Any thoughts?
