Hey, you're telling Noah all about the flood! I know exactly what you mean. Have you done any research on Adams' Arkansas Regiment? That one will drive you to drink.

Danny, by all means email me the stuff you've got. As always, of course, anything I have here is yours for the asking.

Your analysis of the circumstances surrounding the organization of Bridges' battalion and Stirman's regiment makes perfect sense to me. I was so busy working out the composition of the regiment that I didn't take the time to stand back and consider the events that created the regiment.

Co. K, 27th Texas Cavalry (Whitfield's Legion), is an outfit I'm just starting to take a close look at. At this point, I haven't determined exactly when and where it was organized, but I have documented the fact that it was heavily augmented with transferees from Arkansas infantry commands. Whether it was originally a Texas company, I don't know yet.
