Re: Christopher Columbus Griffith

Well right away I found:
D. L. Brothers who was probably Adolphus "Dolphus" Brothers, 2nd husband of another 3rd great grandmother.

John F. Griffith, brother of my Christopher.

and names which don't belong to my own ancestors, but are names from Scott County I recognize:
Zachariah Boultinghouse
David Castleberry
and
Tumlinson, Wiley A — Captain. Died in Franklin county, Arkansas, December 8, 1862.

He was the son of Joseph Johnson Tumlinson and Olivia Ann Pearson. Tomlinson Township in Scott County, Arkansas was probably named after this family. I found in my notes from a book on Scott County history that Wiley's father at his death owned several thousand acres in the Petit Jean Valley, had 75 slaves, and at one time operated a tavern.

Thanks again. . .
