I love Wendy's doubles Alan!! lOL! I've never seen as many what ifs about any issue in my life than Gettysburg? I wonder if Little ROund top would have fallen if the troops had been sent around the tops instead of a direct assualt from the road they wre on and into Devil's Den? Law and Hood requested this and Longstreet didn't reply. I didn't know until now that a scouting party of our boys scouted culps hill and just by horrible bad luck ran into the 7th INdiana infantry. They then reported that the hill had a lot of federal troops on it when it only had one Indiana regiment.
That INdiana colonel disobeyed orders and took his troops to Culps hill and shouldn't have been there. This stuff makes me believe in fate.
