Thanks Bryan. I know the 26th Ar Inf was also known as Morgan's Regiment, 3rd Trans-Mississippi and Morgan's Infantry. (not to mention Brook and Yell's Regiment) I was wondering who and when the final designation was done. ( By the who I meant who was the authority that made the designation ) Thanks for the information.
