Doyle, here's an excerpt from a journal of the 6th Texas Infantry for the month of September 1862 --

After a rest of ten days [at Fulton, Arkansas], the regiment marched to Benton, camped on the Saline River two miles from town for two weeks, and then started for Pine Bluff, leaving a number of men in the hospital there with measles. After arriving at Pine Bluff, the regiment went into camp at Camp Holmes.
