Doyle,

Thanx for ur reply (again).

No record of ggrndfath after LR fell in '62.THis is a HUGE gap in our tracing him. WE can find no record from '62 until he returned here to go into hotel & bar business yrs after the war. If ur near my age & from LR r vicinity u mite remember the old Hoffman Hotel...across Victory st from old MOP depot????That was one of his.

Agree Co clk just showed where they had him last on morn repts till they quit showing him. No recd of him drawing any sort of pension from CSA so ur thot that that he just walked away is highly likely......LOTS of them did when LR fell .

U seem to have such a braod understanding & knowledge of this period & the war. Can't u come up w/ a web site for the 6th Inf that mite sho his date of birth ???
I found a roster of B co once but lost it & can't refind on the web . Don't believe it showed DOB r ages. ???? HELP !!! Thanx again, bill
