**The company subsequently became Company E, 18th Regiment Texas Cavalry. A part of this regiment was captured at Arkansas Post, Arkansas January 11, 1863 and exchanged east of the Mississippi River in April and May, 1863 when it was consolidated with similiar remnants of the 17th, 24th and 25th Regiments Texas Cavalry.
