Alan, according to a book I read on Bill Anderson, after this event he became, in the authors description, somewhat psychotic. The fact that the killings became more brutal is documented. Of course "Little Archie" Clements actions almost made Anderson look like a Boy Scout. Even some of the hardened Bushwackers were disgusted by Clements actions.
