Yes I knew it was there but wondered who it was named after or why it was called Camp Bragg. That was a little early for naming after good ole Braxton I figured and was just curious. Thanks for your reply though and anything else I come across re; 1 Ark Mtd Rifles I will give drop you a line. THis soldier wrote quite a number of letters until he was killed at Dug Gap May 1864. Evidently other letters exist among other family members but they have not been shared. That is why there is a gap with no letters regarding Pea Ridge or Chickamauga. He wrote letters after every single battle so I would presume those would be no different. The decendant told me there were some letters in the hands of other relatives that she had not been able to get to transcribe.
