Mr. Burford, my GGGrandfather, John W. Cox, M W, b. 1828, Georgia, married Almarinda Susan Johnson, 1847.
On the AR. 1860 Census, Pulaski Co., Bayou Meto, This Cox family was listed with only Wm. R., John P. Josephus and James living in the house hold. Calvin, Sara Virginia and White Everson died in AR.

I am wondering if my john W. Cox could be a brother to your John P. Cox?

Childfren:

1848 ~ Wm. R. Cox was born, GA.
1850 ~ John P. Cox was born, GA
1852 ~ Calvin S. Cox, b. possibly, Tenn.
1854 ~ Sara Virginia Cox, b. Alabama
1856 ~ White Everson Cox, b. AR.
1858 ~ Josephus Asa Cox, b. AR, d. 1940, TX., my GGrandfather
1860 ~ James R. Cox, b. 1860, AR.
1862 ~ George W. Cox, b. 1862, AR.
1864 ~ Mary Jane Cox, b. 1864, AR.
1868 ~ Flora B. Cox, b. 1868, Ohio

John W. Cox joined the Civil War, 1862. Supposidly he was killed in 1864, but I can find no documentation.
