I am intrigued by the name of your anestor---Mary Ann Stokes. My
maternal GGrandmother was Mariah sometimes called Mary - Stokes. It is not a common name and I have not bumped into any Stokes I could claim as relatives. I've not done any work on that family line, but wish I had more information on them.
