Dave, I don’t know why a reference to Company A, 4th Arkansas Cavalry was included in the genealogy information. That was a Union outfit, and the James Young listed on that roster survived the war. There is a strong case that J.H. Young, Company E, Dawson’s 19th was your ancestor. There was also a J.E. Young in Co. E, 19th, possibly James’ brother, John. Elisha might possibly have been a cousin, as he appears next door to James’ father’s household in the 1850 Census for Sulphur Springs TWP in the household of John and “Milla” Young. There is a book published about the 19th entitled “The 19th Arkansas Infantry Regiment, Volunteers CSA” by Merrill Theo Pence.
