P.S. Dawson's 19th Arkansas did go throught a reorganization at Camp White Sulphur Springs in August of 1862 persueant to orders from Hindman to reduce their company size to 75 men of all ranks per companies. Many of the excess men from this reorganization and reelection of officers became part of the 24th Arkansas, or Harts Battery.
