Sounds like he go the same information from Fred Adolphus, where I got mine. It is a good read, as you note there are VERY few revolvers...this is true for MOST CSA Cavalry units, so the ever present re-enactor with a pair (or more)is not correct. Sabers were carried and probably US pattern.
I believe the Enfields were P58 two band as the are listed as "rifles" not "rifle musket" and these were arriving in Texas by the hundreds. That is unless your father has other information that I do not.
Seems your father may have gotten a better breakdown than I did. I just got a synopsis. I sometimes portray Co. F. If he has a complete Oct-Dec. 1863 Ordnance Returns I would love to obtain a copy...and if you don't have it, I can send an extra copy of Adolphus's Houston Depot article.
