Re: Debray's 26th Texas Cavalry
I have a drink about once a week at the grave of Pvt Noah Green of DeBray's 26th Texas Cavalry. According to his headstone, he was born in 1843, and died in 1919. I go often to the cemetery to pay my respects to family members, many of whom were Arizona pioneers. I admire Noah Green, as he was only 17 years old when the war of yankee aggression started, and he survived the war, and ended up in Arizona during a very rough and wild time period. Noah must have been quite a man, and he must have family still in the Phoenix area.
If anyone can add to my knowledge of this early Arizonan/Texican, please contact me.
